I know I have not posted in a minute, but life seems to take us places for a reason. I have done some thinking and took a moment to think, we are living in a time that people will or at least should talk about in history books. Not all of it is a good representation of who we are as a nation. Lets take a moment to reflect.
The longest lasting war in our countries history has happened during our life time.
We changed names of historic military bases, removed historical monuments.
Went through a pandemic for a virus that has destroyed the economy and was forgotten faster than we discovered it.
We have seen this country united and divided several times in our lifetime.
We just watched an assassination attempt on a former president.
We watched a former president get charged with a crime in a court of law.
Things are more turbulent in the middle east now than it was in the 20 years the war was going on.
We watched civilians go into a war zone to pull Americans and allies left behind.
If you take a moment and look around and just think about all the things that we are going through as a nation right now and ask yourself, how will all this be presented in history books. This post is not for any particular side or agenda just the simple fact of the things that we are living through. These are the things that sometimes I ask who is driving this ship. Some of the best things in our life have been created from disagreements. The reason for that was do to people not afraid to keep talking until the best solution is created. If you disagree with me, that is fine. If I have learned anything from this historical time is if you stop thinking for yourself you become a person without a voice. I went down that road and made some mistakes. I learned from those lessons and will always be willing to have a discussion. Maybe I am right maybe I am wrong, but we both can learn from each other.
